Hi! My name is Olivia and I am a junior majoring in Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Nutritional Science.
After some searching I found HDFS and I couldn't be happier. I find it fascinating to learn about how us humans develop and how not only our genes depict how we develop but how our experiences with the world around us contribute to our development. I want to use the knowledge I gain to help families or even businesses grow.
Getting involved has been one of the best things I did for myself when getting to college. I am a part of Upsilon Theta Sigma, an integrative health fraternity. I am an HDFS ambassador along with a preceptor for HDFS 117. I am also involved in P.O.S.T which is the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Pathology club.
I grew up dancing so I wanted to make sure that didn’t go away when I went to college so I auditioned and made Ardor Dance Company. In my free time I enjoy going on walks with my roommates in the cute neighborhoods around campus. I will never say no to exploring Tucson whether that is the amazing food, a hike, line dancing, or shopping. As you can see, anything that involves exploring the city I will be down for!
By being a CALES peer mentor I am excited to offer a chill space that allows us to talk through all the ups and downs that college brings as we explore the many ways to make you feel more confident about being a wildcat!
