Bethany Rutledge
Bethany Rutledge is Chief of Staff to the Charles-Sander Dean of the College of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences, where she provides strategic guidance and oversees key administrative, operational and communications functions. In this role, she works closely with college leadership to advance priorities, strengthen internal alignment and support the day-to-day effectiveness of the Office of the Dean.
Rutledge brings extensive experience in higher education administration, with a focus on strategic planning, organizational effectiveness and integrated communications. Over the course of her tenure at the University of Arizona, she has held multiple roles within the Office of the Dean, contributing to communications strategy, faculty affairs and digital engagement while building systems that enhance collaboration and program visibility.
Earlier in her career, Rutledge worked in museum and public history settings, including as Director of Collections and Exhibits for the Thornton W. Burgess Museum and Green Briar Nature Center in East Sandwich, Massachusetts, where she led exhibit development, collections stewardship and grant-funded initiatives.
She holds a Master of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Arts in History, with honors, from the University of New Hampshire.
