i.e. Primarily graduate students who have seen a lot of teaching, much of it ineffective. These are people who will want to be more effective whether they become professors or enter some technical field.

Format

Problem Area: Writing instructional objectives
Situation: Primarily graduate students seeking to become professors or other professionals who will need to know how to write performance based objectives.
Objectives: The students will be able to write a performance based objective which includes behavior, criteria, and conditions.
Teaching Procedure:
Method: Illustrated Lecture-Discussion
Interest Approach: Ask students the following question and discuss:
As an instructor, how do you know when you have achieved the desired results?
Give the students a list of objectives and have them discuss the merits of each.
