We’re looking for students to grow their leadership through wellness.
Our mission is to bring people together for connection & holistic wellness.
What do Wellness Leaders do?
- Lead Elevate Evenings wellness initiative
- Apply the science of prosocial leadership
- Strengthen their own wellness expertise
- Lead fun & holistic wellness activities
- Wellness themes: social, creative, mindfulness, physical & more
What is Elevate Evenings?
- Our largest college wellness initiative
- Connection, dinner & wellness activities
- How we "elevate" all Wildcats!

Minimum Qualifications:
- Motivated to increase campus well-being
- Desire to be an effective leader
- Understands importance of belonging
- Welcoming & kind with others
- Punctual & well organized
- Successfully completed 2 UA semesters
- Enrolled at UA for fall 26 & spring 27
Wellness Leader Commitment
1) Full academic year (fall & spring semesters)
2) Attend 4 Wellness Leader Trainings:
- ZOOM - Wed. Aug. 5th, 5:30 - 8:00pm
- In-Person: Wed. Aug 26th, 5:30 - 8:00pm
- In-Person: Wed. Sep 2nd, 5:30 - 6:30pm
- In-Person: Wed. Jan 13th, 5:30 - 8:00pm
3) Lead Elevate Evenings:
- Attend 9 Elevate Evenings per semester
- Lead 4 wellness activities per semester
- Wednesdays, from 5:30pm - 8:00pm
- Fall 26 dates: Sep. 9th - Nov. 18th
- Spring 27 dates: Jan. 27th - Apr 14th
- No hours for holidays & school breaks
Yearly Time Commitment:
- 8.5 onboarding & training hours
- 45 (minimum) Wed. night service hours
- 16 planning hours (flexible)

How do I apply?

Do I need previous leadership experience?
- No - it does help, but all new Wellness Leaders receive leadership training
Do you have to be in a specific major?
- No - we are open to all majors
Can I be a Wellness Leader for only one semester?
- Not typically, since it is a two semester commitment
- Rare exceptions may be granted for special circumstances
Is this a paid leadership role?
- While there are many benefits, this is an unpaid volunteer role
- One popular perk is free dinners each week at Elevate Evenings!
- You also get an official Wellness Leader polo and name badge
Can first year students be Wellness Leaders?
- Not yet - a min. requirement is successful completion of two UA semesters
