RISE Symposia


Started in 2004, the RISE (Research Insights in Semi-Arid Ecosystems) Symposium has pursued the objectives of sharing recent results of scientific research in semiarid environments and encouraging future research and outreach activities, with an emphasis on work conducted at the USDA-ARS Walnut Gulch Experimental Watershed (WGEW) and the University of Arizona Santa Rita Experimental Range (SRER).

2022 RISE Symposium

On Saturday 05 November 2022, seventy-six people attended the 18th Annual RISE Symposium in person. It was the largest audience for the Symposium, and many said the best one so far. Learn more about the last edition of the RISE Symposium!

2021 RISE Symposium

After a pause of one year due to the Covid pandemic, on Saturday 20 November 2021, 59 people - of which 35 in person and 24 remotely - attended the 17th annual RISE Symposium on the University of Arizona campus. Learn more about this edition of the RISE Symposium!
