Lodging Accommodations
**As of Sep 16th, 2008, 11am PST there are only 14 rooms available in the Marriott. These will be available at the conference rates until Sep. 19, 2008, 5pm PST (Friday) and after that they will be released to general public. The rates at that time will increase to ~$190. Please make room reservations as soon as possible.
Five of the six sessions of FSPR III will be in Tucson Marriott University Park. To facilitate the participation in these sessions, we have negotiated with Tucson Marriott and obtained deeply discounted hotel room rates exclusively for FSPR III conference attendees.
The discounted Hotel room prices are:
Single: $149.00 / day (+ taxes)
Double: $149.00/ day (+ taxes)*
* 1. Additional person can stay in a double room at $15/person.
2. Share a double bed room in Marriott with another FSPRIII participant and pay no more than $75 (+ taxes) per person/per day.
3. If you wish to stay in a double room and share the cost, but do not have a room mate, please contact Ravi Palanivelu (rpalaniv@ag.arizona.edu). The hotel will NOT be able to find you a room mate.
4. When sharing a room, each person can pay separately to Marriott and obtain separate receipts reflecting each person's portion of the payment. In this way, participants need not worry about paying each other.
4. Conference attendees can get the above-mentioned discounted conference rates for their stay, from October 16, 2008 (Thursday) to October 19, 2008 (Sunday).
5. Please note that only few rooms have been alloted by Marriott at this discounted rate for FSPRIII participants to stay on days before (October 14 and 15) and after (October 19 and 20) the conference dates. When you make the reservations for these dates, if you learn that rooms are not available at the reduced conference rate, please contact Ravi Palanivelu (rpalaniv@ag.arizona.edu) as soon as possible.
Making your lodging reservations:
1. Marriott Room reservation for FSPR III can be made through the hotel website. When you make the reservations using this website, it will automatically reflect the reduced prices.
or
2. By contacting Marriott via phone at 1-800-228-9290 in the USA and Canada (or any of Marriott worldwide reservation telephone numbers). When contacting by phone, please mention the Group code "fspfspa" or that you are part of the 'plant reproduction' meeting to get the discounted rates.
