Free showing of No Small Matter

In partnership with United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona

Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 5:00 PM - 8:00PM

Location: McClelland Park Lobby (650 N. Park Ave. Tucson, AZ 85721)

Abstract: In partnership with United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona, we invite you to a free screening of No Small Matter, an important documentary about early childhood education. Before the showing of No Small Matter, we invite you to take a closer look at a 28-foot, six-screen photography installation called Showing (work x family). After the film, we will have a lively panel discussion about early childhood education and working families.

No Small Matter is the first feature documentary to explore the most overlooked, underestimated, and powerful force for change in America today: early childhood education. Through poignant stories and surprising humor, the film lays out the overwhelming evidence for the importance of the first five years, and reveals how our failure to act on that evidence has resulted in an everyday crisis for American families, and a slow-motion catastrophe for the country.
