*Due to the Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA), the EPA has grouped pesticides
into risk- and hazard-based priorities. EPA has placed those pesticides
"which based on the best available information to date appear to
pose the greatest risk to the public health" into Group 1. EPA is
focusing attention particularly on on these priority Group 1 pesticides.
Their tolerances are being reassessed and these pesticides are facing
required re-registration. Included in this category are organophosphate
pesticides (the Agency's highest priority for review), carbamates, organochlorines,
and B2(probable human) carcinogens. For more information on this subject
