This image of a bridge across the Jordan River is part of the "Jerusalem Mosaic" located in a church in Madaba, Jordan. The oldest extant map of the Holy Land, details of buildings in the city of Jerusalem have enabled scholars to date the map to between 560 C.E. and 565 C.E.
