The Frances McClelland Vision Award is given to honor a community leader who has made a lifelong commitment and significant contributions to the well-being of children, youth, and families. The community leader embodies the strength, dedication, vision and passion that Frances McClelland exhibited throughout her life. This award is for a community leader who has dedicated their life and work to helping Frances McClelland’s legacy and vision come to fruition for the people of Southern Arizona and the world.

Vishakk Rajendran is the Founder and President of e-NABLE Tucson Chapter and serves as  Science Fair Chair of Canyon View Elementary School. He is passionate about science and committed to expanding STEM outreach to youth. He founded the e-NABLE Tucson Chapter, which uses 3D printing to make low cost upper limb assistive devices. While traditional prosthetic arm costs around $20,000 to $40,000, a 3D printed hands cost about 40 dollars to make. So far, he has donated hands to the e-NABLE community, who match it with recipients all over the world. He has also donated hands directly to recipients in Tucson and in India. He is also the science fair coordinator at his local elementary school, Canyon View. He mentors students to participate in science fair and he demonstrates 3D printing design to students of all ages at several STEM events at local schools, the University of Arizona, SARSEF and the Arizona STEM Adventure.
