The Frances McClelland Vision Award is given to honor a community leader who has made a lifelong commitment and significant contributions to the well-being of children, youth, and families. The community leader embodies the strength, dedication, vision and passion that Frances McClelland exhibited throughout her life. This award is for a community leader who has dedicated their life and work to helping Frances McClelland’s legacy and vision come to fruition for the people of Southern Arizona and the world.
Adriana Noriega currently serves as National Honor Society President of Cholla High School where she encourages service amongst her peers. She is a part of the Arizona's Governor's Youth Commission where she serves as the Substance Abuse Committee Chair working towards drug and alcohol prevention. She is a member of the Metropolitan Education Commission's Youth Advisory Council Tucson Teen Congress, where she advocates for quality education for her peers. Adriana is also a Youth Leader at Cholla Break Away, a peer to peer program which works with youth who themselves have or have family who have substance use disorders. She is also the Student Body Vice President of the Cholla High School Student Council. Adriana is the recipient of the TUSD Cesar Chavez Award, the TUSD Outstanding Community Support Award, and the Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellowship. Adriana is an active member of her community as she volunteers regularly with organizations including Pima County Teen Court and BeFreePima. Adriana is driven, dedicated to serving others, and is constantly seeking out new opportunities to make a difference.
