Flower heads are white or pinkish to 5/16 inch long, with two circles of flower bracts, and dark purple-brown anthers. Flower heads are to 1/2 inch wide and are clustered at the end of the stems, made of disc flowers only.

Leaves are dark green, hairy, divided into very narrow segments with rolled under margins to 1-1/2 inches long, graduating to smaller up the stem. The stems are slender, green and branched. The leaves are much denser on the lower half of the stem. Fruit and Seed Characteristics
