General Desc:
Low-growing, mat-forming; plant has a distinctive whitish or grayish-green color due to the presence of dense white hairs on the leaves; leaves are the base in a basal rosette and distributed along the flowering stem. Flower heads on stems above leaves. Identification notes: Leaves mostly in basal rosettes, blades hairy on upper surface; female flower heads 1/2 inch or more high, non-glandular and separated into male and female flower heads.
