General Desc:
Small yellow petals on flowers in an elongated, unbranched stem. The leaves are compound with sharp teeth pointing forward, oval to elliptical; leaflets are short, sharp-pointed and strongly veined. Identification notes: Perennial with leafy stems that have long stiff spreading hairs and are somewhat glandular. Leaves of 7 to 13 leaflets, somewhat bristly and rough above and soft hairs beneath. Sepals are short and pointed. Height:
1-1/2 to 3-1/4 feet
Habitat Description: Found in moist soils, often in thick woods.
