General Desc:
Long, thin, narrow or lance-shaped (spear-like) basal leaves, often toothed or lobed; flower heads single, ray petals only, typically orange, each with a few tiny teeth at the tips. Unbranched stems are leafless. Orange flowers are common in the wild. Identification notes: Leaves erect; leaf stem usually purple; blades long and narrow, widest in the middle, pointed at the tip, can be pointed at the base, smooth or toothed to irregularly lobed; flowers orange (sometimes yellow, pink, red, or purple), drying to purple. Height:

Description:
