Origin: Native
General Description: Evergreen. A succulent with rigid, spine-tipped leaves in 1 or several rosettes accompanied with a long flower stalk.
Height: 4 to 6 feet     Width: Can spread to 10 feet

Habitat

Plant Communities: Interior Chaparral, Semidesert Grasslands, Pinyon Juniper Woodland, Montane Conifer Forest
Elevation: 3000 - 8000 feet

Flowers

Color: White   Shape: Bell-shaped in elongated clusters     Tubular: N   Flowering Period: Apr - Jul
Description: White, waxy, bell-shaped flowers to 3 inches long growing on a stalk in long clusters. Generally more than half the length of the flowering stalk is within the head of the leaves.

Leaf Description: Broad, stiff, spine-tipped leaves with white fibers on the margins; to 3 feet long and 2 inches wide.
