Our cover photo this issue is from Dr. Sekhar Raghavan's article, Rainwater harvesting in urban areas: The Chennai experience. It shows the building of the Akash Ganga Trust's Rain Centre in Chennai, India, dedicated to promoting urban rainwater harvesting. Along the right side of the building in this photo, a "trellis" of pipes can be seen. These are part of the Centre's "artificial rainfall" system which can be used to help demonstrate how rainwater harvesting works. In the photo below, taken from the doorway of the building, a man watches as the rain pipes are in use in a water harvesting demonstration.
