San Miguel River Canyon, W of Colo Hwy 141, ca 1.4 air mi NW of the confluence of Coal Canyon with the San Miguel River, ca 9 air mi NW of Naturita. Elev. 5120 ft.

Setting Circumstances

Silty sandy soil of eroded slopes in juniper woodland; with Artemisia, Astragalus amphioxys, A. mollissimus, A. wingatanus, Bromus, Elymus, Eremogone, Ericameria, Fraxinus, Gutierrezia, Physaria, Sarcobatus. Locally common.
