Khami Road near entrance to Leopard Rock Nature Reserve and for several kms after, roadsides, ca. 20 km W of Bulawayo. 20°07'S x 28°26'E. Elev. 1,370 m.

Setting Circumstances

In wooded grassland on coarse sandy gravelly soil derived from cyanite w/ Aloe excelsa, Burkea africana, Combretum spp., Dichrostachys cinerea, Grewia spp., Peltophorum africanum, Pterocarpus rotundifolius, Terminalia sericea, Vitex spp.

Perennial many-branched shrublet to 80 cm w/ narrow leaves from underground rootstock; yellow flowers widely spaced along branches; inflated pods.
