Arizona Irrigation Scheduling System (AZSCHED)

The purpose of AZSCHED program is to assist you in scheduling your irrigations. It is only an assistive program and does not take the place of a well-trained irrigator.

System Requirements:

Your computer operating system must be Windows NT, Windows 98, or Windows XP.

An Internet connection is helpful if you want to use actual weather data for irrigation calculations. You must have Internet Explorer running in order to download this information. However default weather values are available within the program if you don't have an Internet connection.

Your computer should have at least 20MB of free hard disk space for the program files and associated Visual Basic .DLL files.

Installation Instructions:

This is a three-stage process:

• Stage one is to download "az_install.exe" to your PC from the web site.
• Stage two is to run "az_install.exe" from your PC, which uses WinZip to automatically extract the required AZSCHED setup files.
• Stage three is the actual installation/set-up of AZSCHED on your PC.

1. Internet Download
   Go to: www.ag.arizona.edu/crops/irrigation/azsched/azsched.html
   Click on the "Download AZSCHED" button
   Enter your e-mail address and submit it.
   A new page will appear.
   Click on the "Download AZSCHED" button
   On your screen
   1. A "File Download" window will pop up (if it doesn't appear skip to #2)
      a. Make sure "Save this program to disk" is clicked/selected
      b. Click on OK
   2. In the "Save As" window:
      a. Select C:\temp as a location to save the "az_install.exe" file which is about to be downloaded to your PC
      b. Click on Save (the file will be downloaded to your PC)
      
      
2. Extracting the AZSCHED Set-up files
• Go to the "C:\temp" directory and double click on "az_install.exe"
• In the WinZip Self-Extractor window:
  • Unzip to folder: C:\AZ_SETUP
  • Click on Unzip
  • After files are unzipped, Close window
    
    
3. AZSCHED Installation
• Double click on C:\AZ_Setup\Setup.Exe in the install directory. This runs the program that sets up AZSCHED on your PC.
• The following window will open: "AZSCHED VB 6.0 Installation Setup"
  • Follow the on-screen directions
  • The destination directory will be "C:\Program Files\AZSCHED\" by default. Change it if you have another directory in which you wish to install the application.
  • Click on OK when installation completed
