Field LayoutAzdrip occupies a 4 acre (1.6 ha) field at the University of Arizona Maricopa Agricultural Center (MAC) near Maricopa, Arizona. The field is divided into five plots of 0.62 acres (0.25 ha) each, arranged from East to West. Each plot represents different crop management senarios:
Plot

High frequency irrigation. Permanent 80" (2.0 m) beds containing three drip lines spaced 19" (48 cm) apart and 9" (23 cm) deep. |
Plot 2 | High frequency irrigation. May be configured as 40" (1.0 m) beds with a single drip line or 80" (2.0 m) beds with two drip lines 40" (1.0 m) apart. The configuration will be dependent on the crop. |
Plot 3 | Low frequency irrigation. Permanent 80" (2.0 m) beds containing three drip lines spaced 19" (48 cm) apart and 9" (23 cm) deep. |
Plot 4 | Furrow irrigation. May be configured as 40" (1.0 m) or 80"(2.0 m) beds depending on the standard practice for the crop. |
Plot 5 | Low frequency irrigation. May be configured as 40" (1.0 m) beds with a single drip line or 80" (2.0 m) beds with two drip lines 40" (1.0 m) apart. The configuration will be dependent on the crop. |
