About the Task Force

The Colorado River Aquatic Invasive Species Task Force was formed as a multi-agency partnership, spear-headed by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, to address the many threats, either active or potential, that AIS pose to the Colorado River from Glen Canyon Dam to the US/Mexico Border.  It was also established to be a clearinghouse of information for the many agencies, tribes, municipalities, private industry, and citizens currently working on, or interested in, the introduction, spread, dissemination, or overall effects AIS have on the anthropocentric use or ecosystem structure and function of the Colorado River.
