Form: a tree-like herb
Seasonality: Evergreen;

Size: some to 20 feet high by 10 ft wide
Leaves: Large green paddle like leaf

Flowers: Orange/yellow flowers at the end of the fruiting stalk
Fruit: Banana
Stems/Trunks: The stems are underground rhizomes from which leaves arise. The "trunk" is formed by leaf petioles; the fleshy stalks or pseudo stems formed by upright concentric layers of leaf sheaths constitute the functional trunks.
Range/Origin: Asia
Hardiness: USDA 8 - 10

Comments: No thorns, , leaves shread in high winds
