with issues concerning animal waste management. Also assistance
providers to that community.
Abstract: Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Arizona's
Natural Resource Conservation Districts (NRCDs) has worked with Arizona
Department of Agriculture and University of Arizona Cooperative Extension
Service (ACES) to provide education on the National Pollutant Discharge
Elimination System (NPDES) permit and state water quality regulations.
The notebook is one component and includes information on state and federal
regulations related to animal waste management; contact information for
various financial and technical assistance organizations; principles on
nutrient management;
record keeping assistance sheets developed by ACT to make complying with
the NPDES permit easier, and Frequently Asked Questions. EPA
and ADEQ have assisted the group to ensure that regulatory descriptions
are appropriate. 2001.
