                                                4th USGS Wildland Fire Science Workshop

 

                                All Day Field Trip to Santa Catalina Mountains/Mt. Lemmon

                                                                December 7, 2005

 

Theme: Address western wildfire issues including drought, invasive species, fire effects, rehabilitation/restoration activities, community effects, post-burn floods and debris flows in the context of the Santa Catalina Mountains and recent large widlfires.

 

Local bus hosts from the Coronado National Forest: Larry Raley, Bob Lefevre, Heidi Schewel, and Josh Taiz

 

7:30am             Load busses at Westward Look Resort

 

8:00                 Leave Westward Look Resort and travel by bus to Mt. Lemmon

 

9:00am            Arrive Stop 1 on Mt. Lemmon Highway: Prison Camp area (refreshments and restrooms to be available here)
