I completed my bachelors degree at the University of Arizona in 2003. I worked at a commercial microbiology lab for 2 years before applying to graduate school. I am currently pursuing my M.S. in Environmental Microbiology, and I am planning on continuing my education in order to get my Ph.D.

Current Project:

I am currently determining the occurence of heterotrophic bacteria and coliforms in liquid hand soap collected from public restrooms. I am also investigating the possibility that microbes are using liquid hand soap as a medium, instead of merely surviving in the soap.
