I originally came from Colorado, but moved to Tucson in 2000 and graduated from CDO in 2002 (go Dorados!!). I started my undergraduate work in 2002 majoring in pre-pharmacy at the University of Arizona. I changed my major in 2003 to Microbiology, shortly after getting hired in the Bacteria Lab as a lab assistant, which consisted mainly of washing dishes. Now I perform field sampling, data processing, and adapting project protocols. I still have to do dishes though, unless the independent study people (Jeni) show up, but that hardly ever happens. I received my bachelor's degree in 2006 and have been accepted to graduate school to receive my Ph.D. in Environmental Science.
