The herbicides that you are using now on grain, cotton and other field crops can have an effect on next seasons lettuce. Most that are used here are gone by September or October when you start to plant but some can still be active and we have to be increasingly mindful of the rotational restrictions that appear on the label. Many labels list intervals that are longer than necessary under our conditions but there are always some risks of residuals in the soil or crop. The following table may be helpful as a general guideline |
