Areawide Insect Trapping Network (January 24, 2018)
Results of pheromone and sticky trap catches can be viewed here.

Corn earworm: Moth activity remains seasonably low, similar to this time last season.

Beet armyworm: Similarly, moth activity remains low, comparable to this time last season.

Cabbage looper: Cabbage looper moth activity has increased slightly over the past 2 weeks, and numbers are higher than this time last year.

Whitefly: Adults captures on sticky traps remain seasonably low, similar to last season.

Thrips: Thrips activity increased slightly in some locations, particularly in the Yuma Valley.

Aphids: Trap activity for aphids also increased in some traps locations.

Leafminers: Adult activity remain at seasonal low levels at all trap locations.

Diamondback moth: Activity is generally down relative to earlier in the fall. Activity in most locations is lower than what we measured in the Yuma Valley in 1999.
