Results of pheromone and sticky trap catches can be viewed
here. Corn earworm: Moth activity remains low, but still higher than last season in many trap locations. Beet armyworm: Moth activity was comparable to catches this time last season, and remain steady in many locations, particularly in the Gila Valley. Cabbage looper: Cabbage looper moth activity has increased significantly in the past two weeks, and is heaviest in Roll/Wellton. Whitefly: Adults captures on sticky traps are decreasing throughout the area to seasonal normal levels. Thrips: Thrips activity remain low at all trap locations. Aphids: Aphid activity spiked last week in the North Gila Valley and N. Yuma Valleys consistent with the high winds coming out of the North. Aphids are about 2-3 weeks ahead of normal. Leafminers: Adult activity increased slightly in the Tacna / Wellton area over the past 2 weeks.
