Beet armyworm: Moth activity was comparable to catches this time last season, and remain steady in many locations, particularly in the Gila Valley. Cabbage looper: Cabbage looper activity remains comparatively lower than previous years, and is heaviest in Dome/Wellton and Gila Valley. Whitefly: Adults captures on sticky traps are decreasing throughout the area to seasonal normal levels Thrips: Thrips activity remains low at all trap locations. Aphids: Aphid activity spiked last week in the North Gila Valley. A little early, but considering the cooler weather and winds out of north, not surprising.
