Areawide Insect Trapping Network (December 7, 2016)
Results of pheromone and sticky trap catches can be viewed here.

Corn earworm: Moth activity remains at seasonal low levels in all trap locations.

Beet armyworm: Armyworm moths are at their lowest levels we’ve seen this fall. Should remain low until warmer nighttime temperatures pick up in the spring.

Cabbage looper: Similarly, cabbage looper moth counts were low in all trap locations over the past two weeks and lower than this time last year.

Whitefly: Adult movement is still being measured in some locations, particularly in Dome Valley and Wellton.

Thrips: Thrips movement has finally subsides in all locations, likely a result of high winds and cooler weather over the past 2 weeks.

Aphids: Aphid flights picked up slightly in some trap locations in the Yuma Valley.

Leafminers: Adult movement has finally decreased in all trap locations.
