Areawide Insect Trapping Network November 9, 2016)
Results of pheromone and sticky trap catches can be viewed here.

Corn earworm: Moth activity remains very low in all trap locations.

Beet armyworm: Armyworm moths remain active but have been trending downward in all locations over the past 2 weeks.

Cabbage looper: Cabbage looped moth remained active in many trap locations over the past two weeks. Overall activity this week is very low.

Whitefly: Adults captures on sticky traps increase significantly over the past two weeks in some locations, particularly in the Wellton/Dome and Tacna areas.

Thrips: Thrips movement remains unseasonably high in some areas and especially in Tacna and, Dome Valley.

Aphids: Aphid flights are typical of this year, but particularly active the Yuma Valley near the river.

Leafminers: Adult activity remained unusually high in some trap locations, and were particularly heavy in the Wellton area.
