Areawide Insect Trapping Network (October 26, 2016)
Results of pheromone and sticky trap catches can be viewed here.

Corn earworm: Moth activity remains unusually low in all trap locations. Many traps have not caught moths in the past 2 weeks.

Beet armyworm: Armyworm moths remain active across many locations with activity greatest Wellton and Yuma Valley.

Cabbage looper: Cabbage looper activity remains unusually high in many trap locations, relative to this time last year. Activity is particularly heavy in Dome Valley, Wellton/Roll and the south Yuma Valley.

Whitefly: Adults captures on sticky traps increase significantly over the past two weeks, particularly in the Yuma Valley.

Thrips: Thrips movement peaked at unusually high levels last week for fall populations in the Yuma Valley. Most other locations are normal for this time of the year.

Aphids: Aphid flights are high in many locations and very high numbers were trapped in the North Gila and Yuma Valleys.

Leafminers: Adult activity picked up again in the past two weeks, particularly in the Wellton area.
