Results of pheromone and sticky trap catches can be viewed
here. Corn earworm: Moth activity picked up again in the past week, particularly in the Gila and Yuma Valleys. Beet armyworm: Trap catches remain at a consistent level over the past two weeks. Overall numbers are down considerably compared with this time last season. Cabbage looper: Cabbage looper moth captures continue to increase in many locations, especially in the Yuma Valley. Overall, activity has been lower than observed last year in the spring. Whitefly: Adults captures on sticky traps continue to remain at seasonal low levels. Thrips: Thrips movement continues to increase in many locations, particularly in the Yuma Valley. Aphids: Spikes in alate (winged) aphids were observed last week in the Yuma Valley. Leafminers: A significant increase in adults on traps was observed in several locations, and were particularly active in the Yuma Valley.
