Results of pheromone and sticky trap catches can be viewed
here. Corn earworm: Moth activity has declined overall in the past 2 weeks. However, traps placed by several PCAs in Gila Valley and dome Valley have shown significant spikes last week. Beet armyworm: Trap catches continue to increase in some areas, but overall numbers are down considerably compared with this time last season. Cabbage looper: Similarly, captures of cabbage looper moths increased significantly in some locations over the past two weeks. Whitefly: Adults captures on sticky traps remain at seasonal low levels. Thrips: Thrips movement continues to be higher in the past week, but at lower levels compared to this time last season. Aphids: Spikes in Alate (winged) aphids were observed last week, particularly in the Gila and Yuma Valleys. Leafminers: An increase in adults on traps was observed in several locations.
