Areawide Insect Trapping Network (October 14, 2015)
Results of pheromone and sticky trap catches can be viewed here.

Corn earworm: Corn earworm moth activity has declined in all areas over the past 2 weeks.

Beet armyworm: BAW activity remains heavy in traps, consistent with reports of egg lays in lettuce fields, particularly in /dome Valley.

Cabbage looper: Cabbage looper activity remains light but appears to be gradually picking up in most tapping areas.

Whitefly: Adult movement is much lower than last season, and remains low across the entire growing area.

Thrips: Thrips movement is similarly low throughout the area.

Leafminers: Adult activity is low and comparable to last season.

Aphids: Aphids are beginning to appear in sticky taps, particularly in the norther part of the Yuma Valley.
