Hollywood Park Condition Book Page

An example of the information found in a condition book about the specific races that are offered on an upcoming racing day. On the second page, you should start thinking about "better purses for better horses." Do you see races that are basically the same except for the distance? Is there any difference in the purse money?

According to the racing secretary at Hollywood Park, the "better" horses (according to purse value) are in races 7, 8, and 5 and the horses on the bottom of the scale are in races 9, 4, and 3. Do you agree?
