GUIDELINES FOR CONDUCTING AN EFFECTIVE OFFICER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM1. Officers and leaders must be developed locally. 2. The advisor is the key person in officer development. 3. A wide range of resources should be used. 4. The Officer Development Program should be continuous throughout the year. 5. Develop a definite schedule of activities by months. 6. An Officer Development Program should provide preparation for special events.
