Only sites with permanent active weather stations are listed here.
All elevations are from standard sea level (USGS), (m = meters).
Coordinates were derived from the standard latitude & longitude system.
U.S. Geological Survey maps were used to determine the coordinates.
the official name of the U.S.G.S map used is listed in quotations.
The soil "particle size" and "texture type" are based on analysis of
samples that were taken from within the "one square meter area' of
bare soil around the soil temperature probes. These samples were
taken from the surface thru a depth of 7".
All soil percentages are sand,silt,and clay only. The totals of
which have been adjusted to equal 100% (after gravel was removed).
The "Soil Texture Type" is derived from the "soil particle size"
percentages and the usda texural triangle for soil identification.
The "Soil Classification" is the genitic name given to soils in the
agricultural area surrounding the weather station location. It is
based on an extensive analysis of many samples (from various depths)
which were taken across the square miles throughout each
agricultural community.

The "Date on Line" is the day we began taking continuous data.
Any missing data is denoted by a value of 999.
