Arizona Agricultural Institute - formerly SAI
The Summer Ag Institute (SAI) has been revamped to the Arizona Agricultural Institute (AAI)! The Arizona Agricultural Institute offers two opportunities for teachers to experience and learn more about Arizona agriculture with the AAI 1.0, which is held in June, and the AAI 2.0 which is held typically during the winter growing season. AAI provides highly interactive, multi-day tours designed to teach K-12 teachers about food and fiber production and to help them incorporate that knowledge in the classroom. AAI combines hands-on learning about agriculture with practical curriculum development. Participants receive continuing education units (CEUs) and free classroom materials that are aligned to Arizona's Academic Standards. The 2022 AAI 1.0 will be a hybrid format June 13-16, 2022 - one day virtual and three days "in-person."

School Garden Food Safety
The School Garden Food Safety Program provides training on how a school garden can become certified by The Arizona Department of Health Services. This certification allows produce from the school garden to be served in the school cafeteria. The training also provides classroom lessons that are aligned with Arizona's Academic Standards.
Arizona Agricultural Literacy Days
This event is held every fall with an emphasis on the three days before Thanksgiving in November. Volunteers read the new book, Arizona Agriculture: Bee's Amazing Adventure, to elementary school students while helping them understand our connection to agriculture and the commodities produced on Arizona's lands.
